Elections are appointed in connection with the expiration of the term of office of the incumbent mayor of the North Caucasus Federal district. The Chapter will elect the city Council from nominees submitted by the Commission by results of competition.
PYATIGORSK, 12 Oct. Margarita Savelyev. Elections of the head of the capital of the North Caucasus Federal district of Pyatigorsk will be held on 6 November in connection with the expiration of the term of office of the incumbent mayor Leo Travneve, have informed in city administration.
“Elections will be held on 6 November, the term of office of the head of the Lion city Travneva expired”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to the city administration, the law provides for the election of the head of the city Duma from among candidates presented by the competitive Commission by results of competition. The Commission will be formed on a parity basis: 50% of its members will be appointed by the Duma of the city, 50% — the Governor of edge. The mayor will chair the local administration, that is, to perform the functions of the city Manager and to direct the city Council to be its Chairman, elected from among the deputies.
