MOSCOW, 12 Oct. Faction “Fair Russia” has put forward on a post of the head of the Duma Committee on family, women and children Olga Epifanova, said the first Deputy Chairman of the faction Mikhail Emelyanov.
The seat of the head of the Duma Committee on family, women and children became vacant after the transition, Elena Mizulina in the Federation Council. The state Duma on Tuesday, is expected to take a decision on early termination of powers of Deputy Mizulina in connection with its transition to the upper house.
“It unanimously (Epifanova — ed.) put forward. She worked as a Deputy Chairman of the Committee, she was aware of the agenda of the Committee, competent person, experienced legislator. So I think she will cope with this work”, — said Emelyanov after the meeting of the faction.
He believes that on Tuesday the candidacy Epifanova will be approved. “Tomorrow, I hope, will be approved, because no faction in the preliminary consultations against her candidacy don’t mind,” he added.
