MOSCOW, 13 Oct. Aeroflot is ready to employ about 6 thousand employees of “Transaero” — more than half of the airline staff, informed the press service of “Aeroflot” on Tuesday.
“The group of “Aeroflot” is ready to accept the following categories of specialists from the staff of airline “Transaero”: the flight crew (pilots) — about 700 people; engineering and technical staff of about 1000 workers; flight attendants — approximately 2,800 employees; divisions ground handling about 1200 employees; management personnel — about 300 people”, — stated in the message.
The largest Russian privately owned airline Transaero has been unable to service debts, which form together with the leasing obligations of about 250 billion rubles. Approved in September the government plan for the transfer of 75% of actions “Transaero” state “Aeroflot” for the subsequent rehabilitation took off. The creditors are considering the option of bankruptcy of the airline.
