MOSCOW, October 13. The authors report presented today about the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing in the Donetsk region, despite the political expectations of the West and Ukraine, not given clear answers and focused on technical details that rather encouraging.
This opinion was expressed in the network Facebook the head of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, commenting on the contents of the report of the Council for national security of the Netherlands.
According to the Senator, “a major and unsolvable problem with Boeing for Western countries is that they simply could not prevent the emergence of any other accused, apart from Russia or those they call “Pro-Russian separatists”. Favourable results of the investigation, he said, were expected in Ukraine, which from the beginning of “rubbing” around the investigation, although, “in theory, should be among the first suspects in any way responsible”.
“The more important (and it is at least a little bit, but reassuring) that the report of the Dutch did not go on about the political expectations and focused on technical issues, which is still a lot of”, – said Kosachev.
The MP noted that the conclusions of experts do not contribute to the answer to the political question of sanctions against Russia, the toughest wave “was introduced almost immediately after the tragedy with the plane, that is, without trial and investigation”. “Who will be held responsible for this destructive step taken in haste and on the basis of such unverified information that even after 15 months, the expert Commission could not confirm? And here is the answer to this question I would like to get as early as possible”, – concluded the head of the international Committee of the Federation Council.
The Klintsevich: the report of the security Council of the Netherlands final can not be called
The report of the security Council of the Netherlands does not include an explanation of the root causes of the tragedy – Ukraine’s decision to allow flights over the conflict zone. This opinion was expressed to journalists by the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich.
According to him, the authors of the report “became hostages of his apparent unwillingness to cooperate with the Russian side to investigate the causes of this tragedy”, with the consequence that the paper “contains almost no new information”. “So, the report does not provide a clear explanation of Ukraine’s decision, which allowed the flight over the conflict zone. And this is the root cause of the tragedy”, – gave the example of the MP.
Klintsevich believes that “the report of the security Council of the Netherlands final can not be called”. “Final conclusions can only be born as a result of the cooperation of many countries. They must be deprived of the slightest signs of political work and have only one basis – the facts. Russia as no one else is interested in clarifying the truth”, – said the first Deputy Chairman of the relevant Committee.
The report of the Council for national security of the Netherlands
On October 13, the national security Council (NSC) of the Netherlands released a report on the causes of the crash Malaysian Boeing in the East of the Donetsk region on July 17 last year. “The investigation revealed that the plane was hit by a warhead NM (missiles M) of the complex “Beech” with an area of 320 sq km in the East of Ukraine. The missile exploded to the top left of a cabin of pilots”, – said the head of the Council Tibbe Joustra. According to him, “the nose of the aircraft was struck by hundreds of high energetic particles from the combat heads”. “As a result, three crew members in the cockpit immediately killed, and the plane disintegrated in the air. The debris fell on an area of 50 sq km.”, he said.
