The company reportedly expects to secure rights to the name “Apple” not only for high-tech goods such as computers, but also for paper, cardboard and products from them.
MOSCOW, 13 Oct. American Corporation Apple on 8 October filed an application to Rospatent for registration of the trademark “Apple” in Russia, “Vedomosti” reports with reference to the materials of Rospatent.
According to the application the company intends to secure the rights to the name “Apple” for high-tech goods such as computers, electronic books, MP3 players, machines for counting of votes on elections and x-ray machines.
In addition, the trademark “Apple” Apple also expects to use “for paper, cardboard and products from them, books about computers, commercial advice for consumers, education, entertainment and support of sport and cultural events”. The publication adds that the company is also interested in scientific and technological services and related research and development.
