MOSCOW, 13 Oct. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has instructed the transport Ministry to prepare proposals for the support of Aeroflot, which carries passengers of “Transaero”.
“I assume that the Ministry of transport will support the company (“Aeroflot”), having in mind that she still works in the market and to take on additional burden — a thankless task. So they should for what they do, get some if not preferences, then the support of the government of the Russian Federation”, — Putin said at a meeting with members of the government.
The largest Russian privately owned airline Transaero has been unable to service debts, which form together with the leasing obligations of about 250 billion rubles. Approved in September the government plan for the transfer of 75% of actions “Transaero” state “Aeroflot” for the subsequent rehabilitation took off. The creditors are considering the option of bankruptcy of the airline.
