Earlier the Federal Antimonopoly service of the Russian Federation has informed that prolongs the consideration of the transaction on purchase “Aeroflot-Finance” shares “Transaero” to 11 December. The reason for the extension was the need of the market analysis of air transport on domestic lines.
MOSCOW, 14 Oct. The affiliated structure of “Aeroflot” — “Aeroflot-Finance” withdrew from the Federal Antimonopoly service of the Russian Federation the petition for the consideration of the acquisition of shares of the airline “Transaero”, told reporters Deputy head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin.
“The petition is not withdrawn, under consideration,” said he, answering the question about the causes of prolongation of terms of consideration of the application to purchase shares of the airline “Transaero”.
“The application is considered within one month. If outside the one month — we send information addressed to the market participants that we needed to extend the period of its consideration. We are entitled by law to extend for no more than two months. We have extended, the solution will move when it is ready, when the entire amount of information”, — said Golomolzin.
On 13 October, the Federal Antimonopoly service has informed that prolongs the consideration of the transaction on purchase “Aeroflot-Finance” shares “Transaero” to 11 December. In its report, the FAS noted that the main reason for the extension was the need of the analysis of air transport markets on domestic air lines and in connection with the possibility of a dominant position of the group of companies “Aeroflot” on selected routes.
Earlier it was reported that the affiliated structure of “Aeroflot”, LLC “Aeroflot-Finance” has applied to the FAS for the acquisition of 90% stake in the airline “Transaero”.
