ST. PETERSBURG, October 15. /Corr. Svetlana Afonina/. Google has shut down its development center in St. Petersburg, said today the head of commercial real estate of international consulting company Knight Frank Saint-Petersburg Marina Puzanova.
“Google went from Petersburg. Here they left the office in August seems to have closed the office. They took two floors. Evacuated employees in different countries: Switzerland, America and Germany,” – said Puzanov.

“This is an ordinary optimization process which takes place not only in Russia but also, for example, in Finland, Sweden, the United States,” – said in Google. On the question of the fate of closed staff development center in the company assured that they “continue to work on projects in other offices (Google)”.

Recent years, the St. Petersburg representative office of Google has held two floors with a total area of almost 1.5 thousand square meters in the business center “Alia Tempora” on Mayakovsky street, in the Central part of St. Petersburg.
