The Director General of the Secretariat of the foreign Ministry Pavel Kuznetsov said that in 2015 by overcoming of consequences of humanitarian crises and providing urgent assistance to the population in different countries of the world has already allocated about $ 60 million.
MOSCOW, 15 Oct. Russia last year sent through the international organisation of 120 million dollars in various countries to overcome the consequences of humanitarian crises, said Thursday the Director General of the Secretariat of the foreign Ministry Pavel Kuznetsov.
“Last year Russia sent through international organizations, $ 120 million for overcoming the consequences of humanitarian crises and providing urgent assistance to the population in different countries of the world. In the current year on these purposes have already allocated about $ 60 million. Markedly increased not only the financial parameters of our participation in this activity, but also the geography,” said Kuznetsov, speaking at a round table in the Federation Council.
Speaking about the implementation of the state program “Foreign policy activities”, he noted that the consistent foreign policy of Russia should further increase the country’s authority on international arena.
“Over the past year, Russia demonstrated to the world that can “take a punch”. Recent events confirm that we are on the right track. For the Russian Federation begin to recognize the role of equal and independent subject of international relations, without taking into account the interests which it is impossible to solve any major world problem,” he added.
According to him, voiced by the Russian President during the UN General Assembly’s call for Western partners to accept the fact that “we are all different, and we should treat it with respect, should be in the center of all work on the advancement of the objective and therefore a positive image of Russia in the modern world”.
The implementation of the state program between the foreign ministries of Russia, according to Kuznetsov, goes in several directions — including support of compatriots living abroad, the protection and care of military cemeteries, the promotion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, Rossotrudnichestvo is represented in 79 countries.
Currently, he said, is preparing a new edition of the state program, which will be presented to the government for approval in December. The current state program “Foreign policy activities” was approved by government decree on 15 April 2014.
