FAS: no need for export duties on mineral fertilizers


Earlier, Arkady Dvorkovich said that the Russian authorities expect to continue to negotiate with the manufacturers of fertilizer prices, it was not necessary to impose export duties.

MOSCOW, 16 Oct. The Federal Antimonopoly service believes that there is no need of introduction in the Russian Federation of export duties on mineral fertilizers, said the head of FAS Igor Artemyev.

“Not yet,” — said Artemyev to journalists on the question of whether to introduce export duty on mineral fertilizers.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that the Russian authorities expect to continue to negotiate with the manufacturers of fertilizer prices, it was not necessary to impose export duties. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has submitted that the government agreed with the fertilizer producers to keep prices until spring of next year.

For its part, the Ministry of agriculture said that the producers agreed that the price of fertilizer until the end of 2015, not only will not rise, but some positions may decrease by as much as 2-5%.
