Under the bill, the penalty for unreasonable refusal of operators of search engines to stop issuing links to false information about the citizen may be imposed a fine on citizens and legal entities in the amount of 100 thousand rubles.
MOSCOW, 16 Oct. The state Duma meeting on Friday plans to consider in the first reading the draft law on penalties for unjustified refusal of the operators of search engines to stop issuing links to false information about the citizen who applied with such a request.
Under the bill, the penalty for such violation may be imposed a fine on citizens and legal entities in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. The basis for attraction to administrative responsibility specified will be the decision of the court under which it is established that the operator of the search engine illegally refused. Also provides for the liability of search engine operator for failure to perform within five days of the court decision at the suit of a citizen to stop issuing links. It is proposed to penalize the citizens and legal entities on 3 million rubles.
In the summer the state Duma adopted the basic law, which obliges the operators of search engines to remove links with invalid information. The document was signed by the President.
