According to the regional forestry Department, control and supervision of the state forests, most of the fires occurred in the spring and is connected with PAL dry grass. Other common causes of fires are thunderstorms and breakage of transmission lines.
“The losses of forestry from the burnt wood was $ 780,2 thousand rubles, for comparison, in 2014 — 107,4 thousand. For violations of fire safety rules in forests composed of 11 protocols on bringing to administrative responsibility, upon review of fines for a total amount of 280 thousand rubles. Vice-Governor of the Magadan region Boris Zhuravlyov has noted at session of the regional government that a prompt response to the fire situation has allowed to prevent emergency situations caused by forest fires.
“The situation with forest fires have been successfully controlled through timely intervention and interaction of Avialesookhrana and forestry Department with Fire and rescue centre, the Main Department of EMERCOM in the Magadan region and administrations of municipal unions” — said Zhuravlev.
Following the meeting decided to strengthen preventive and explanatory work among citizens on observance of fire safety rules in forests and solicitous attitude to the nature.
