MOSCOW, 18 October. Transaero cancels 80 flights on October 19, according to the company “Aeroflot”.
“Transportation of passengers of canceled flights will be carried out by flights of Group companies “Aeroflot” under code SU”, – noted in “Aeroflot”.
The airline stated that “transit passengers of canceled flights will be provided for delivery at the destination with a connection at the airport Pulkovo or Sheremetyevo”.
“Other flights of airline “Transaero” on October 19, previously run on a schedule. If flights are cancelled, call center of airline “Transaero” will produce an alert”, – emphasized in “Aeroflot”.
The Transaero airlines cancels domestic flights, in particular, from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Astrakhan, Sochi, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Murmansk and other cities. In addition, canceled international flights from Moscow to Kiev, London, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, Istanbul and other cities.
Transaero serves about 200 flights a day. Daily air carrier announces plans to cancel flights on the day ahead. Cancellation of flights is connected with the current situation in the company. To ensure smooth transportation of passengers of airline “Transaero” “Aeroflot” has created operational headquarters, which coordinates the operating activities of Transaero airlines. Transportation of its passengers will be accepted until 15 December 2015 flights Transaero, Aeroflot Group other Russian carriers. Currently there is the daily plan of flights on 20-21 October. Information from the flight plan will be updated daily on the websites and in official accounts in social networks, Aeroflot and Transaero. For the convenience of passengers on the website of Transaero airlines launched service to verify the status of flights two days in advance. The flight number must be a no code UN, noted in a press-service.
The decision on bankruptcy “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion debt and under the operational management of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1. The carrier has closed the sale of tickets. Airline tickets /round-trip/ transportation beginning before December 15, and ending after 15 December will be cancelled.
