Moscow. October 21. ALROSA expects following the results of 9 months 2015 sales of at least $2.7 billion this preliminary data, the company disseminated on Wednesday.
This is 27% below the results of January-September of last year ($3.7 billion).
Sales of diamonds ALROSA for 9 months of 2015 amounted to 23 million carats, compared to 28.8 million carats a year earlier (a fall of 20%).
In the third quarter of ALROSA expects revenue of more than $550 million of rough diamond sales Volume during this period from 4.9 million carats, including 3 million carats of gem quality at an average price of $182/carat and 1.9 million carats of industrial diamonds at $9/CT.
“In accordance with the dynamics of the market situation, the company in the III quarter of 2015 carried out a decline in the prices of diamonds of gem quality 8%”, – stated in the message ALROSA. Prior to this, in the first half, prices were reduced by 6%.
The average price of gem-quality diamonds in the third quarter of this year ($182 per carat) were at the level of a year ago and 3.4% higher than second quarter. At decrease selling prices that can be explained by the improvement of range of marketed diamonds.
