At the meeting the head of the Duma Committee on property Sergey Gavrilov and Chairman of the people’s Council of Syria Mohammad Jihad al-Lahama discussed the dialogue with the inter-parliamentary organizations of the countries that guarantee the participation of all parliamentarians.
MOSCOW, 21 Oct. The head of the Duma Committee on property Sergey Gavrilov has invited the President of the people’s Council of Syria Mohammad Jihad al-Lahama to visit Moscow after the meeting on the 133-th Assembly of the inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
“During the meeting they discussed the extension of Interparliamentary dialogue with organizations of those countries that guarantee the participation of all MPs and do not limit the activities of inter-parliamentary organizations. Attention was focused on this topic because of the recent incident with participation of the representative of the Russian delegation in the work of the two IPU events in new York,” — said Gavrilov journalists, whose words the press service quoted the MP.
“Sergei Gavrilov, invited the speaker of the Syrian Parliament to personally visit Moscow,” added the report.
According to the parliamentarian, the Russian Federation, especially among the topics discussed are important issues relating to the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people, and restoring the economy and infrastructure of the country through Russian and international companies.
