Russian foreign Minister: “Islamic state” have already settled in most provinces of Afghanistan

MOSCOW, October 22. Terrorist group “Islamic state” (ISIS) settled in most of the provinces of Afghanistan. This was stated today by the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“We note the growing influence in Afghanistan is, to date, she settled in 25 of the 34 provinces of the country, the diplomat said. – Concerned by the ongoing process of concentration of militants /the group/ in the Northern regions of Afghanistan near the borders with Tajikistan and Turkmenistan”.

“Simultaneously “Islamic state” is trying to gain a foothold in neighboring Pakistan, which recorded attempts by his emissaries to conduct outreach and recruitment activities, to establish links with other terrorist groups – said Zakharov. – We expect that our Afghan and Pakistani partners will continue to take all necessary measures to neutralize emanating from the ISIS threat.”

The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
