MOSCOW, October 24. The foreign Ministers of Russia and Egypt, Sergei Lavrov and Sameh shoukry agreed on cooperation to enhance efforts to combat terrorism in Syria. This was reported October 24 in the Russian foreign Ministry on the results of telephone conversation of Ministers.
“Lavrov has informed Egyptian counterpart about the previous day’s meeting in Vienna with U.S. Secretary of state and the foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkey on the situation in Syria, said in depodesta. – Highlighted the relevance of effective external support of the inter-Syrian political process on the basis of the principles enshrined in the Geneva communiqué of 30 June 2012. The Minister stressed the need for proper representation of such support, connect to it, Egypt and Iran”
“Shoukry and Lavrov agreed to continue to maintain cooperation to build a joint effort to contribute to the overall anti-terrorism actions in the region and the political settlement of the conflict in Syria”, – informed the Russian foreign Ministry.
