Minister: Ukraine will not be able to accumulate into underground storage facilities to 19 billion cubic meters of gas


By the end of October Ukraine will increase gas reserves in underground storages to 17.2 billion cubic meters. The gas that will be supplied, to avoid reducing reserves in UGS, said the head of the Ministry of energy of the country.

KYIV, 27 Oct. Ukraine will not be able to the end of the year accumulate in underground gas storage facilities previously announced 19 billion cubic meters, up to the end of the month will increase the reserve to 17.2 billion cubic meters, said the head of Ministry of state Vladimir Demchyshyn.

“At the moment 16.9 billion cubic meters of gas in storage, an additional comes from the RF 110-114 million cubic meters daily. Until the end of this month, we will increase supply, I think, to 17.2 (billion cubic meters — ed.)… It’s not 19 billion, of which we have spoken, to accumulate in the storage 19 billion this year, it will be impossible… At the moment the consumption is already high enough, the gas will flow, it will allow to avoid reduction of stocks in storage facilities”, — said the Minister at a press conference on Tuesday.
