Governor of Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov proposed to introduce in the government the new position of Chairman, who shall be the Deputy head of the region and to perform the functions of operational economic management, said the representative of the press service of the Governor.
“The direction of the Governor and the Prime Minister are differentiated. The Governor will fulfill the strategic and political functions, to represent the region in the Federal state authorities. The Prime Minister will assume tactical and operational business issues on the leadership of the regional authorities, the implementation of the decisions of the Governor and the government”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
The separation of powers will allow the Governor more time and effort given to the strategic development of the region, protect the interests of Pomerania in the Federal authorities, the inclusion of regional projects in the Federal program, to attract investors.
“In General, the power structure will not be extended and its funding” — quoted Orlov, the representative of the press service.
The press service noted that such a model of Executive power already established in several Russian regions, for example, in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Tula, Orel and Astrakhan regions, where the government led by the first Deputy of the higher officials — the Prime Minister.
New structure of the government of Arkhangelsk oblast will be presented after the deputies approved the relevant amendments to the Charter of the region, concluded the Agency interlocutor.
