Matvienko not serious about allegations of possible onshore U.S. operations in Syria

MOSCOW, October 28. /Corr. Sergey Izotov/. The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko considers that the statements on conducting a ground operation against Islamic state (terrorist group, banned in Russia – approx.) in Syria and Iraq by the US cannot be taken seriously.

“This kind of statements seriously I would not treated. This is unacceptable, this is already the mAh (too much, the – “too, excessively”),” – said the speaker of the Federation Council to journalists.

The Senator recalled that, “and so today the U.S. has flagrantly violate international law”, as their airborne military operations in Syria organized illegally without the consent of the UN security Council or the request of the official authorities. “If we talk more about some of the ground operations, it will be a further flagrant violation of international law”, she concluded.
