Crimean investment is just beginning, said the Vice-Premier of the Crimean government, the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea under the Russian President Georgi Muradov.

SIMFEROPOL, 28 Oct. For the inflow of major foreign investments in the Crimean economy will take about two years, said Vice-Premier of the Crimean government, the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea under the Russian President Georgi Muradov.

“Crimean investment is just beginning. While we are talking about investment, they are now formed. Investments do not come in one day, it requires appropriate formal procedures, the signing of investment agreements,” said Muradov.

He added that “such agreements are currently being developed”. “I think that within a year or two we will be able to speak about concrete, including large investment projects from abroad,” said Muradov.

Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia following the results of the March referendum in 2014. Reunification with Russia was supported by 96,77% of Crimeans and 95.6% of Sevastopol. The authorities of Ukraine and Western countries refused to recognize the decision and has imposed sanctions in the region.
