France would be better to deal with their Affairs before the evaluation steps of other States, said spokesman of the Russian foreign Ministry in connection with the statement of the French foreign Minister that Russia violated international law by attaching the Crimea.
MOSCOW, 29 Oct. Moscow does not agree with the foreign Minister of France Laurent Fabius about the past in Crimea referendum in which its residents called for the return of the Peninsula to Russia, said the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“It is surprising that in France, even at the level of Minister of foreign Affairs spoke about the alleged insolvency of the plebiscite, the people do not have the right to determine their own destiny. Then Paris is going to argue their policy controlled by France of territories, in particular, the island of Mayotte in the Comoro archipelago composition and groups of Islands of APARs in the Mozambique channel?” — said in comments Zakharova, the text of which is published on the MFA website.
So she responded to a request to respond to the statement of Fabius that Russia violated international law by agreeing to perform in the referendum expressed the will of the Crimean population.
Zakharova said that France declared the island of Mayotte region, although the results of the referendum were not recognized by the African Union and the UN. As noted Zakharova, Paris has not started negotiations on the transfer under the jurisdiction of the Malagasy Islands of APARs, although such negotiations called for by the UN.
“I think I have given enough examples to understand that better than anyone, and France it would be better to deal with their Affairs before the evaluation steps of other States”, — said Zakharov.
