Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev has previously said that Russia by the beginning of November has already gathered 101 million tons of grain.

MOSCOW, 2 Nov. The agriculture Ministry expects the grain harvest in Russia in 2015 will be about 102 million tons, said first Deputy head of the Ministry Yevgeny Gromyko.

“We have a good pace of harvesting, planned to raise about 102 million tons of grain in the standings. Now is not yet complete cleaning, in weight prior to modification is about 108 million tons,” said Gromyko, speaking at the parliamentary hearings in the state Duma.

Earlier on Monday, Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev said that Russia by the beginning of November has already gathered 101 million tons of grain. Gromyko said that today in net weight assembled order of 101.2 million tonnes.

“Expected (harvest in bunker weight — ed.)?108,1 million tons of corn. Completes the harvesting of corn. Clean (in net weight — ed.) it will be about 102-102,1 million tons?”, added Gromyko.

Initially, the agriculture Ministry forecasted the grain harvest in the current year at the level of 102.9 million tonnes in net weight. Then the expectations of the Ministry several times dropped. The last forecast was 100 and 101 million tons. The potential of grain exports is estimated at 30 million tons.
