Patrushev will discuss in the Yamalo-Nenets safety in the implementation of projects in the Arctic


MOSCOW, November 3. Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev will hold in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district meeting on security issues in the implementation of projects in the Arctic. About it reported in a press – service of the Russian security Council.

“Patrushev will hold meeting on issues of security of the population and critical facilities Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in implementation of economic and infrastructural projects in the region”, – stated in the message of the security Council.

The theme of safety and preservation of the Arctic is regularly raised at meetings Patrushev. On the 27th of October these issues were discussed among others during the visit of security Council Secretary to Severomorsk, where is located the headquarters of the Northern fleet.

On 16 September, speaking in Arkhangelsk at the International conference on security in the Arctic, Patrushev emphasized that the strategic course of Russia in the Arctic is to give the region the status of dialogue, peace and good neighbourliness. “Our work completely corresponds to the strategic course of Russia towards the Arctic – a course aimed at giving the region the status of the territory of dialogue, peace and good neighbourliness,” said he.
