Russian-Cuban business forum opens in Havana

HAVANA, 3 Nov. Oleg Vyazmitinov. Russian-Cuban business forum was opened in Havana in the framework of the Havana International fair, during the meeting the sides will discuss promising projects of cooperation and investment opportunities for Russian companies on the island.

“I think the government of the Russian Federation and the government of Cuba has adopted all necessary decisions to ensure the effective participation of Russia in the economic development of Cuba”, — said the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Ricardo Cabrisas.

According to him, the time has come for the systematic work of the representatives of industrial and business circles, and those projects that will be offered by both parties, will receive political support. “We can’t waste time,” he said.

Special attention, said Cabrisas, it is necessary to work in such areas as power generation, metallurgy, cooperation with “KAMAZ”, the project for the acquisition of Cuba railroad locomotives, Assembly in Cuba freight and passenger rail cars.

In addition, Cabrisas noted the prospects for further implementation into the Russian market the drug Heberprot B — unique Cuban treatment for diabetic ulcers of the foot.
