MOSCOW, November 3. The Ministry of agriculture did not change the forecast of grain purchases to the intervention Fund a year – the volume of purchases is still estimated at 2 million tons this was reported in the press service of the Ministry of agriculture, commenting on the information in the media about possible reductions in procurement.
“The Ministry of agriculture did not change the forecast of grain purchases to the intervention Fund – in this agricultural year, until July 2016, the intervention Fund plans to purchase 2 mln tonnes of grain,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
Purchasing grain interventions this year started on August 19 with the Crimea. State intervention in the purchase and sale (trade) of grain held in Russia since 2001 for stabilization of domestic grain prices. At high crop purchase interventions in the surplus from the market and stimulate the growth of prices – this allows the farmers to avoid loss. Trademarks, by contrast, is designed to lower prices in lean years with the infusion into the market of grains from the intervention Fund. The state agent on carrying out of interventions from 2009 is United grain company (UGC), controlled by the state.
As announced on 2 November at the parliamentary hearings in the state Duma the Deputy Minister of agriculture Evgeny Gromyko, the Ministry of agriculture forecasts grain harvest in 2015 at the level of 102 mln tonnes in clean weight. For export it is planned to supply 30 million tonnes of grain.
