This law clarifies the provisions on the timing of early elections and a year of elections of deputies of the state Duma of the Russian Federation.
MOSCOW, 4 Nov. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law that combines the single voting day in Russia with the elections to the lower house of Parliament, reported on the official Kremlin website.
In the help document notes that the act clarifies the provisions on the timing of early elections and a year of elections of deputies of the state Duma of the Russian Federation.
“In the case of conduct in the year of early elections of the Supreme official of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation <…> such election shall be held not on the second Sunday of September, following the early termination of authority of the person who replaces Steve this post, and on the day of the voting for these Federal elections,” — said in reference to the law.
The leaders of the Duma factions EP, LDPR and CP, as well as house speaker Sergei Naryshkin has made the project in the spring session. The amendments allow for the possibility of combination of day of voting at the next elections of deputies of the state Duma with the voting day at elections to bodies of state power of subjects of the Russian Federation, bodies of local self-government, that is, on the single voting day, which is the third Sunday of September of the year in which expire the terms of office of these bodies or deputies of these bodies.
Duma elections will be held in 2016.
