The largest Russian cellular operators – MTS, MegaFon and VimpelCom will continue to serve their clients who are in Egypt, even with a negative balance.
MOSCOW, 7 Nov. The largest Russian cellular operators — MTS, “MegaFon” and “VimpelCom” (trade mark “Bee Line”) has decided to support its subscribers in Egypt, said company representatives.
So, MTS and “the Megaphone” has decided not to block subscribers in Egypt, even with a negative balance.
“Given the situation, MTS decided to provide their customers currently in Egypt, an opportunity not to go into financial lock in order to constantly stay in touch”, — said the press Secretary of MTS Dmitry Solodovnikov.
“The megaphone” yesterday sent out sms to its subscribers in Egypt, notifying them that the operators will continue to serve them even with a negative balance of up to 10 thousand rubles, said company representative Yulia Dorokhina.
VimpelCom also alerted via sms to its subscribers in Egypt, how to Deposit via credit card on the website and the service “trust payment”. This, in particular, can be done free of charge by calling the call center, wherein the service is activated, even with a negative balance. The operator is also considering other options to aid its subscribers in Egypt. “We are now urgently working on additional measures to our clients in Egypt were connected”, — said the press-Secretary of “VimpelCom” Anna Imasheva.
