Member of state Duma Committee on family, women and children Irina Chirkova has submitted to Parliament a bill on age limit for deputies of the state Duma, according to the bill, at the time of election the parliamentarian shall not be more than 70 years, said on Monday the newspaper “Izvestia”.

According to Chirkov, busy work schedule is another reason for the introduction of the age limit.

According to her, “for the parliamentary elections of 2016, more than 20 deputies of the current Duma made the 70-th anniversary”.
