SOCHI, November 9. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov has nothing to add to the denials of the Ministry of sport in response to the accusations of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA). “We know about it from the media first and foremost proceed from the refutations that have been made by our Ministry of sport”, – told reporters the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
He also did not answer the question of whether or not the charges are politically motivated, re-pointing journalists to the comment of the MST.
Commenting on the claims of anti-doping Agency to the FSB, which allegedly interfered in the activities of the Russian anti-doping Agency, Peskov stressed that “this is not an issue on the agenda of the Kremlin.”
As stated by Executive Director of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA) Nikita Kamayev, the report of the independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) is “raw”, the accusations against Russia are unfounded. “Speaking of destroyed doping samples, until I see a “raw” report and declarative statements without evidence, said Kamaev. – This also applies to the charges in bribes from the athletes. I don’t see this logic. At the moment, all allegations are unfounded”.
