The first batch of new optical radar station (ARS) for installation on the MiG-35 and su-35 will be released in 2017, said chief designer of onboard systems “research and production Corporation “precision Systems and instruments” Victor Sumerin on aerospace exhibition Dubai Airshow-2015.
“Currently we are implementing a contract for the development and delivery of new optical radar station (ARS 35M) for fighting vehicles and MiG-35. Next year we plan to make prototypes, and in 2017 will release the first batch. The objectives of this instrument — target detection, determination of coordinates and illumination for aiming laser and other weapons. For the su-35 we have also signed such a contract and implement it successfully”, — said Sumerin.
