MOSCOW, 11 Nov. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin instructed the government until February 15 to extend the period of validity of quotas for fish catch to 15 years from 10 years, according to a statement on the Kremlin website.
“The government of the Russian Federation to ensure the inclusion in the legislation of the Russian Federation of the changes providing increase of term of the contract on fastening of shares of quotas of extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources of up to 15 years… the Deadline is February 15, 2016”, — stated in the list of instructions following meeting of State Council Presidium held in October.
Currently rybodobytchikami permission is given by the so-called “historical principle” — a catch specific amount of fish for 10 years, and this rule will be in effect until 2018. The Ministry of agriculture and Rosrybolovstvo proposed to increase this period to 25 years. During the meeting of the State Council in October, the head of the working group of the state Council Oleg Kozhemyako offered to extend the period of validity of quotas to 15 years.
