“Of course, our relationship with the EU and with NATO today is experiencing hard times. For the first time in many decades there is considerable reduction of our trade with the European Union. If in the past, and last year exceeded $ 450 billion, then last year the figures were much more modest, it was about 377 billion. Dynamics of the first months of this year is not positive,” he said at a press conference in MIA “Russia today”.
According to Meshkov, “we have curtailed contacts between Russia and the European Union at the highest level, for the second year actually hosts summits, which were held twice a year, not working permanent partnership Council at the level of Ministers of foreign Affairs”.
