MOSCOW, November 11. The CEC proposed that the election Committee of the Novosibirsk region, the head of which was the Deputy Governor, to elect the Chairman of the Commission Olga Blago.
At the end of October it became known that the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Vladimir Gorodetsky appointed the Deputy Chairman of the electoral Commission of the region Yury Petukhov. According to a source in the regional government, cocks will lead the administration of the Governor and the government of the region.
“Offer election Commission of the Novosibirsk region the candidate the Benefit of Olga, born in 1959, higher education, member of the election Commission of the Novosibirsk region with the right to vote, to election to the office of President”, – is spoken in the decision of the CEC adopted at the meeting today.
As noted by CEC member Mayay Grishina, the Benefit also heads the municipal election Commission of Novosibirsk, organized elections of the mayor and city Council. CEC member Elena Dubrovina added that the Benefit was delegated to the one of the electoral commissions in 2000 from the party “Yabloko”.
The Deputy Chairman of the CEC Leonid Ivlev stressed that the Benefit, if it is headed by the electoral Commission, has an important task of the reformation of the territorial election commissions (TEC). He recalled that the TEC of one of rural settlements during the campaign this year has not followed the Supreme court of the Russian Federation and did not restore candidate. “From this shame we still can’t wash off”, he said.
In addition, the CEC decided to reward Petukhov honorary sign “For merits in the organisation of elections” for “significant contribution to the development of the electoral system of the Russian Federation”.
Cocks was the head of the Novosibirsk regional election Committee from 2011 to 2015.
