Matvienko counts on development of relations with Argentina after the elections

“We proceed from the fact that the new Argentine President will ensure continuity in the Russian-Argentine relations, the continuation of their development, because it’s mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of our countries, of our peoples”, – said on Thursday the speaker of the Federation Council at the meeting with the presidential candidate of Argentina’s ruling party, Daniel Scioli. She added that cooperation between the two countries “has a long history and has always been built on mutual respect and trust”.

Matvienko stressed that thanks to the efforts of the presidents of the two countries, “the Russian-Argentine relations have reached the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.” “We consider Argentina as a reliable strategic partner in Latin America and the world at large. We have a good development prospects trading-economic relations”, – she assured.

In turn, Scioli noted that the experience of Russia in the development of infrastructure, industry, heavy industry, including, for Argentina is priceless. He said that is a representative model, whose priority has always been the development of relations with Russia.
