The proposal will be supported by members of the General Council “United Russia”, believes the Secretary of the General Council EP Sergei Neverov. Previously, the region in the Federation Council was represented by Alexander Ter-Avanesov.
MOSCOW, 12 Nov. The Kostroma branch of “United Russia” has offered on consideration of Presidium of the party the candidate of the Deputy of Kostroma regional Duma Deputy Mikhail Kozlov to the post of member of the Federation Council from legislative Assembly, said in the party.
Secretary of the General Council EP Sergei Neverov said that no doubt the proposal will be supported by members of the Presidium.
“I have no doubt that the decision of the regional political Council will be supported by members of the Presidium of the General Council at the next meeting”, — said Neverov.
Previously, the region was represented by Alexander Ter-Avanesov. As explained in the party, he will not be reappointed in the scenarios.
Ter-Avanesov was the representative of the Kostroma region from the legislative Assembly in the Federation Council from February 2006 through February 2015. In the upper house of Parliament was a member of the Committee on economic policy, Committee on physical culture, sport and Olympic movement development, and a member of the Committee on Federative structure, regional policy, local government and Northern Affairs.
