Applicants must prove to the people that they are worthy of their support, to be able to answer any, even the most awkward questions, clearly identify and justify their position, said the Russian Prime Minister, leader of United Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
MOSCOW, 12 Nov. Participation in debates obligatory for all candidates from the party “United Russia” on elections in the state Duma, said the party leader, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“Participation in the debate is mandatory for all candidates. Applicants must prove to the people that they are worthy of their support, to be able to answer any, even the most awkward questions, clearly identify and justify their position,” — said Medvedev, speaking at the national forum on local branches of the party “United Russia” on Thursday.
Parliamentary elections in Russia held on 18 September 2016.
Previously Deputy Secretary of the party, Andrei Isayev, said that applicants who evade the debate, will not be allowed to participate in the Duma primaries in 2016, and in single-mandate districts will not be candidates for even with a small criminal record.
