MOSCOW, 16 Nov. The speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko has informed that has accepted the invitation of his Syrian counterpart to visit the country.
“Naturally, I accepted the invitation. Differently and can not be, because we are interested in contacts with the Parliament of Syria. But as regards the timing and possibilities of the organization of the visit, it requires study and time. Therefore, the exact date, I hesitate to give, but the intention to visit Syria I have. All the time,” — said Matvienko in interview to the newspaper “Izvestia” published on Monday.
