Russia and Turkey have agreed to continue working on the implementation of the “Turkish stream” after the formation of the new government of Turkey, said the head of Ministry Alexander Novak.
ANTALYA (Turkey), 16 Nov. The issue of implementation of the project “Turkish stream” was discussed during the meeting of the presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan; the parties agreed to continue working on the issue after the formation of the Cabinet of Turkey, said the head of Ministry Alexander Novak.
“Yes, indeed, discussed this issue. We agreed that now, once appointed by the government, we will continue together with the Ministry of energy of Turkey, with the new Minister to consider this project,” said Novak, who participated in the meeting of the presidents of the two countries.
The meeting of Putin and Erdogan took place on Sunday in Antalya on the sidelines of the summit of “big twenty”.
Answering the question, have you discussed possible signing of the intergovernmental agreement of Russia and Turkey on the “Turkish stream”, Novak noted that during the meeting the two presidents discussed “more General, conceptual stuff.”
“Everyone understands that the timing — the sooner the better”, — said the head of the Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation.
In the meeting of Putin and Erdogan also took part the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.
