MOSCOW, 16 Nov. The government has set a minimum and maximum amount of unemployment benefits in 2016.
“Set for 2016 the minimum value of unemployment benefits in the amount of 850 rubles and maximum unemployment benefits in the amount of 4900 rubles,” — said in a document posted Wednesday on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The number of officially registered unemployed in Russia from 3 to 11 November increased by 0.5%, amounting to 913,9 thousand people.
Earlier it was reported that the amount of the allowance for 2016 will remain at the same level — 850 and 4900 rubles — the minimum and maximum allowance. The Minister of labour of Russia Maxim Topilin said that the Ministry is not yet able to find a compromise solution by way of increasing allowances. He noted that among other ways of changing the size of the unemployment benefit, the labour Ministry is also examining the possible introduction of unemployment insurance.
