Putin: the Northern sea route and far East ports should provide the interconnectivity in the Asia Pacific region


MOSCOW, November 17. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin believes that the development of far Eastern ports, modernization of Railways and the Northern sea route should become a factor in the growth of interconnectivity in the Asia-Pacific region.

“The far Eastern ports, the Northern sea route, modernization of our rail lines should become a factor in the growth of interconnectivity in the Asia Pacific region, with important infrastructure link between the Asia-Pacific region and Europe,” he said in his article that is published in the leading mass media of the APEC countries.

The head of state stressed that Russia pays to the development of potential of the Far East special attention. “This year began to establish a so-called territories of priority socio-economic development of economic areas with an unprecedented set of tax and other preferences, – he reminded. – In relation to the port of Vladivostok adopted a special law on the free port.
