MOSCOW, November 18. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on November 18 sent in weekly trips to the countries of South-East Asia. As reported in the press service of the government, in the region the Prime Minister will visit the Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia.
First stop, the Russian Prime Minister will make in the Philippine capital of Manila, where 18 and 19 November will take part in the APEC summit. November 18, Medvedev at the session of the APEC CEO summit will talk about the approaches of Russia to develop trade and investment cooperation in modern conditions.
Also on this day, as told in the press service, “the planned participation of the President of the government in the traditional APEC leaders’ meeting with members of the Business Advisory Council and an informal conversation with leaders of the countries of the Pacific Alliance”. In addition, according to information, are expected to hold negotiations with Philippine President Benigno Aquino, the results of which can be signed a number of bilateral documents.
Thursday, November 19, will be held the plenary session of the summit, which will be discussed the issues of deepening regional economic integration, and solutions to demographic and environmental problems. According to the results of the adoption of the Declaration of the APEC leaders, which will reflect the agreed approaches to the further development of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Initially it was planned that Russia at the APEC summit will be represented by President Vladimir Putin, but later it was decided to optimize the schedules of two politicians. Medvedev in Malaysia and Cambodia
Programme international tour of the Russian Prime Minister will continue in Malaysia. As told in the press service of the government, on November 21-22, Medvedev will participate in the East Asian summit (EAS) in Kuala Lumpur.
“In the framework of this meeting, the heads of state and government of countries-participants of the forum will discuss issues of ensuring security and sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region, will review the progress of development and prospects of cooperation in such priority areas as energy, Finance, health care, emergency response, interrelatedness,” – said in the Cabinet, noting that on the sidelines of events, Medvedev will also hold bilateral meetings.
According to the results of discussions it is planned to adopt the statement of the Chairman of the summit, the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of YOU and also of several papers on regional and international issues.
On 23-24 November at the Russian premiere is scheduled working visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia. “In Phnom Penh the Prime Minister will hold talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen, as well as meetings with the king of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and leaders of both houses of the Cambodian Parliament, – have confirmed in a press – service. – It is planned to discuss key issues of bilateral relations, with emphasis on the promotion of trade – economic and investment cooperation, expansion of cooperation in the fields of education, culture and tourism”.
The government expects that following the results of negotiations will be signed intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents on cooperation in various fields.
