Obama: U.S. will not continue to restrict purchases of Iranian oil


Washington allows the purchase of Iranian oil at the level of volumes in 2013 in accordance with the Joint plan of action. In this regard, the President of the United States stated that restrictions will not be purchasing more.

WASHINGTON, 18 Nov. The United States continue not intend to restrict purchases of oil from Iran. A corresponding Memorandum on Wednesday was signed by President Barack Obama.

“In accordance with the Joint plan of action reached by the group “five plus one”, the EU and Iran interim agreement concerning fears over Iran’s nuclear program, the United States allow the purchase of Iranian oil (volume 2013)”, — stated in the Memorandum, which was distributed by the White house.

“Accordingly, my administration is no longer going to limit the purchase of Iranian oil,” said Obama.

The President also promised to “continue to closely monitor the situation”.
