Proposals to restructure the debt of Ukraine at $ 3 billion should be accompanied by guarantees, said the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.
MOSCOW, 18 Nov. Russia agrees on guarantees from the U.S., the EU or large Bank under the proposed debt restructuring of Ukraine of 3 billion dollars, told journalists the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.
“In our view, the proposals on restructuring the debt of 3 billion dollars should be accompanied by safeguards for the implementation by the Ukrainian side this proposal by either the U.S. or the EU, or a major Bank in consultation with the Russian Federation,” he said.
On Monday, President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to restructure the debt of Ukraine at $ 3 billion, allowing it to repay 1 billion in 2016-2018.
