MOSCOW, November 18. The CSTO and the power structures of Russia ready to repel the terrorist threat. The journalists said the head of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations Leonid Slutsky at the meeting in a closed format with participation of CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha.

“We have heard the fundamental the report of the CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha on measures to counter the terrorist threat in the OSCE area… the CSTO and the power structures of the Russian Federation is ready for real – online – the reflection of the terrorist threat on their territory, to prevent the recurrence of the heinous terrorist acts,” said Slutsky.
However, he added that “cooperation in this critical area should be strengthened” including “law enforcement and security agencies of the Russian Federation and participating countries of the CSTO with the European countries.” “I hope that in the nearest future Russian President’s proposal will be heard. We, parliamentarians, because of their competence will contribute effectively to this”, – assured the head of the Committee.
According to the parliamentarian, the parliamentary Assembly of the collective security Treaty organization at its session in St. Petersburg on November 26, intends to adopt a resolution on combating the terrorist threat. As said Slutsky, “will talk about creating a real anti-terrorist coalition on the Eurasian continent will be considered, primarily, the experience of the CSTO”. He noted that after the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris and in the skies over Sinai is extremely important to prevent further penetration and the spread of terrorist threat. “Work in this regard is very serious, including in cyberspace, which, unfortunately, recruited future participants, suicide bombers,” – said the head of the Committee.
