MOSCOW, November 18. The Russian army organizes joint military operation with the naval forces of France to fight with terrorists in Syria. This was stated by the head of the Main operational Directorate of the General staff of the Russian Armed forces Colonel-General Andrey Kartapolov.

France sends aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” to participate in operations against ISIS
“In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the General staff develops proposals for joint action against the terrorists with the French Navy. With the arrival of the aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” to the shores of Syria will be organized joint military operation,” – said Kartapolov at a briefing for journalists.
The day before Vladimir Putin entrusted the command of the cruiser “Moscow”, located in the Mediterranean sea, to establish cooperation with the French military. “In the near future in the area of your option group, the French Navy led by the aircraft carrier. You need to install the French direct contact and work with them as allies,” – said the head of state. According to him, “the chief of General staff and Minister of defense instructions received”. “We will need to develop with them a plan of joint actions both at sea and in the air”, – said Putin.
These instructions of the Supreme commander gave during a visit to the National center of defense, where by video conference listened to the reports of the military conducting anti-terrorist operation in Syria.
