The reaction of Russian companies and banks on the extension of sanctions Kiev
“Since Ukraine joined the sanctions against the Russian Federation in economic, financial, we have taken the decision to impose protective measures… in the form of a food embargo. Just this decision is deferred. It is also deferred until 1 January,” he said.
“With high probability we will have to unilaterally protect its market from uncontrolled access of goods through the customs territory of Ukraine, goods from third countries, primarily from countries of the European Union. This protection will go primarily to the introduction of most favored nation treatment. Reason in order to maintain a zero rate of the customs tariff of Ukraine, in such a situation we will not have”, – said the Minister.
Russians don’t need to fear food shortages in conjunction with the introduction of the food embargo against Ukraine, said in an interview with Russian news service, the assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseenko.
“Fundamentally the same”
Food embargo against Ukraine in case of its introduction, will be the same as in the case of the EU, said earlier the speaker.
“Fundamentally the same”, – he stressed.
According to the speaker, he sees small chances of removing the risks for the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU until the end of the year.

“There is a saying: “the situation is great, but not hopeless.” The hope we have, although the work is difficult. But we hope that we can work together to get the result we wanted. The odds are there, although I would not say that it is very large,” – said Ulyukayev.
The Minister added that the Russian experts have calculated different scenarios after the implementation of the agreement. “We hope that we can minimize the negative consequences for the Russian economy in any situation,” he said.
The speaker repeated the assessment that the potential damage to the economy could reach 100 billion “per year”.

Then Medvedev has reminded that earlier Russia has given Kyiv time, until January 1, 2016, on issues of economic regulation.
