The technology innovation forum of Kazakhstan and Russia opens in the Urals


A package of joint research, innovative projects and programmes in the field of engineering education aim to raise the participants of the international forum of technological innovation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will be held 18-19 November in Yekaterinburg.

EKATERINBURG, 18 Nov. The first international forum of technological innovations in Kazakhstan and Russia on Wednesday opens in the Urals and will be held until Thursday, according to Ural Federal University (Urfu), which will host the event.

“A package of joint research, innovative projects and programmes in the field of engineering education aim to raise the participants of the international forum of technological innovation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will be held 18-19 November in Yekaterinburg”, — stated in the message.

The event was organized by the Innovation infrastructure of Ural Federal University (Urfu) and the Kazakh national research technical University (KazNTU). K. I. Satpaev. In forum will participate the universities of Kazakhstan and the Urals Federal district, as well as the authorities of the Academy of Sciences, the development institutions of both countries, the expert community.

“The tasks of the forum is very actual in the light of emerging development trends of the global economy and evidence of the special role and importance that we attach to the extension of cross-border cooperation in the field of education, science and innovation of the participating countries of the Eurasian economic Union. Active collaboration will create a joint innovation clusters on a bilateral basis” — are words in the message Nuraly Bekturganov, first Vice-President of the Kazakh national Academy of natural Sciences (KazNAU), which, together with the Presidential center B. N. Yeltsin and the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan supports the forum.

The release also quoted the first Vice-rector Urfu Sergey Courts: “This forum we perceive as the beginning of a long-term project aimed at building a broad international partnership in the field of technological innovation”.

The forum will be the first concept draft of a new Federal law of the Russian Federation on scientific and scientific-technical and innovative activity. Divided into sections, the participants will introduce each other with the priority research areas, says UFU.
