MOSCOW, November 19. Russia is counting on effective cooperation with France and other members of the UN security Council on the text of the anti-terrorist resolution. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

Lavrov hopes that no one will have to wait for new troubles, in order to unite against terrorism
“We continue our efforts not only on finding solutions to the political settlement of the Syrian crisis, which is the primary problem, we also intensively, including in the framework of the Vienna process, in particular at the UN, dealing with counter-terrorism efforts and joint efforts of different countries around the world, fighting is prohibited in the Russian Federation terrorist group “Islamic state” and other organizations that are international terrorist cells,” – said the diplomat.
“As you know, on September 30 this year, Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has presented to the members of the security Council a draft resolution. With the development of the international situation yesterday the Russian delegation has introduced in the updated SA text. I look forward to productive cooperation with France and with other members of the UN security Council in the framework of the finalization and adoption of the resolution”, – she said.
Russia was one of the first countries to declare readiness to help the U.S. after the attacks of September 11, 2001 and looks forward to continuing the tradition of sincere, non-politicized fight against terrorism, said Zakharova.
“I would like to remind that the international community was first confronted with large-scale terrorist threat,’ she said. – After September 11, Russia was one of the first States to offer U.S. assistance in the search for terrorists”.
Zakharova added that “at that time offered the Russian Federation assistance was unprecedented, including the level of openness and trust”.
“In Russia remain convinced that only sincere, depoliticized cooperation will ensure efficiency in the fight against terrorists,” she said.
“ISLAMIC STATE”
“Islamic state” (ISIS) – an Islamist terrorist organization operating inside Iraq and Syria. Established on 15 October 2006 by the merger of 11 radical Sunni groups. The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
The IG recognized as a terrorist organization in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, India, Indonesia, and Russia (29 December 2014).
