Putin will meet with the head of the Federal tax service

The head of the tax service, will report to the head of state the actual figures for fees and generally talk about the functioning of the Department.

MOSCOW, 20 Nov. The Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday will meet with the head of the Federal tax service Mikhail Mishustin, said the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.

“Mishustin will call to the President, will report the latest figures on taxes, in General, the work of the tax service,” — said Peskov, adding that the meeting will be held on the day of the 25th anniversary of the Federal tax service.

The state tax inspection was created by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1990 within the Ministry of Finance of the RSFSR. At the same time began to form a system with three-level control hierarchy: the headquarters, the regional level (inspections of republics, edges, areas) and local tax Inspectorate in districts and cities.

Next year the IRS was established as an independent Agency.

Today the Federal tax service (FTS of Russia) is a Federal Executive body that controls, among other things, compliance with the legislation on taxes and fees. Currently FNS is administered by the Ministry of Finance.
